Park Farm was the demolition of a garage and part stores. Situated next to a Listed Grade II dwelling, we constructed a two-story oak timber framed garage with store and games room. The oak frame was constructed by our carpentry team using traditional jointing and construction methods in our warehouse. Then transported to site once the ground works and the plinth walls were completed for installation.
The client was very happy with the completed works say “We own a 15thC Wiltshire farmhouse requiring a garden annex within its listed curtilage, and chose Wilkins from a selection of tenders and from consultations with local residents.
The annex was to be made from oak throughout and was required by conservation planners to harmonise with, and butt onto, an existing dilapidated breeze block and corrugated iron shed.
This was a very well planned and managed project from start to finish, with frequent and regular progress discussions at all levels. Shortfalls were identified early, quickly addressed and most satisfactorily remedied.
All aspects of this, albeit relatively simple, building were completed carefully and competently both on and off site.
For the project the Company was well resourced and generally kept pace with the agreed schedule, resulting in a timely and most satisfactory outcome. Highly recommended.”
