This project has been awarded a Highly Commended Certificate in The National Almshouse Associations Patrons Award. It consisted of the demolition of an existing bungalow and replacing it with 2 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom Almshouse bungalows together with a hexagon shaped laundry room. Working within a couple of metres of existing occupied bungalows.
The client had this to say, “The trustees are delighted with both the end product and also with the smooth way in which the construction progressed, particularly taking into account the confined layout of the site and the proximity to the existing Almshouse and our neighbour to the south side of the site.
Particular mention must be made of Craig Hicks, who as site manager established good relationships with all parties at the Charity, particularly the residents immediately adjacent to the building site, which was critical in the smooth progression to completion. The minor issues which cropped up were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
The standard of workmanship was high and with relatively minimal snagging passed the exacting standards of our trustees and staff with building experience.”
