St Giles Church, Tockenham

The present grade II listed church dates from the latter part of the 13th or the beginning of the 14th century.   We were asked to make repairs to the Spire following water ingress which had damaged wooden timbers coursing them to rot.  Works consisted of:

•           Upgrade to the lightening protection

•           Replace damaged metal mesh inside the spire

•           Repairs to main structure and roof timbers

•           Repairs of weather van fixing rod

•           Replacement cap

•           The re-covering of the spire with new oak shingles
